July 18 is by-election day in the Siparia/San Francique South local government seat. Speaking briefly in the Lower House yesterday, Prime Minister Patrick Manning said a vacancy had arisen in the seat owing to the death last December of councillor Harrypersad Ramkissoon.
Nomination day is June 27, he added.
